Founder and Creater of the Institution of Dental Advancement; Dr. Marcus Lastimado began his undergraduate studies at PLU in Tacoma, Washington. He was accepted early into the College of Dental Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He then received his Doctorates of Dental Medicine in 2007.
Dr. Lastimado has also completed the two year Mastership Comprehensive Dentistry Program at the University of Florida CDP Class of 2014; subsequently receiving his Masters in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Lastimado is humbled to receive the highest award from the AGD; as less than 2% of dentists in the United States hold this distinction.
Dr. Lastimado has had the honor and privilege of providing quality dental care to military service members, while being deployed in Iraq, for Operation Enduring Freedom. During his tour of duty Dr. Lastimado had the privilege to work and train with specialists in the fields of Prosthodontics, Periodontics, and Endodontics. He is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Lastimado continues to advance his knowledge and training in all aspects of general dentistry through continuing education in the areas of cosmetic Smile Makeovers, prosthodontics, Invisalign, computer guided implant surgery, and CEREC same day dentistry.
Dr. Lastimado completed his 1-year Implant Preceptorship at the University of Texas San Antonio School of Dentistry, and earned his Fellowship status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. To ensure the best care for his patients, Dr. Lastimado has also completed advanced 3D guided implant surgical training at the Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at the Georgia Health Sciences University; later earning his Mastership in the ICOI.
To advance his implant training Dr. Lastimado has also completed a All-On-4 (tm) specific clinical residency with world renowned educator and professor Dr. Paulo Malo, and the Malo Clinic Team, at the Malo Clinic in Lisbon, Portugal as well as other advanced international programs and has received a Master Certificate in Implant Regeneration.
In addition to being in private practice and lecturing for multiple organizations; Dr. Lastimado holds the following appointments:
