Description:

This program is a continuation of Part 1 and will address how to create team work with your lab such that it becomes a “force multiplier” in practice building. This program will answer common questions such as: What porcelain materials should I use for this aesthetic case and why? What materials are available when dealing with restoring the posterior occlusion in smile rehabilitation patients?What aesthetic clinical techniques are best used for me to convey all the information to my lab? What cements are available and which ones are best for my case?... and much more!

What you will learn:

-How to evaluate and understand appropriate desired characteristics of available porcelain materials.
-Define and implement correct porcelain material selection based on your patients case requirements.
-Learn how to use and provide the 7 key components to communicate to your lab to increase success.
-Define and implement correct cement selection based on your patients case requirements.
-Review and understand impression material selection, and techniques for predictability.
-Review and understand the designing of and dynamics of occlusion as it relates to the cosmetic patient.
-Understand and implement the usage of Lab Esthetic Guide systems.
-Understand and review prep design, occlusion, and lab communication as demonstrated in
full mouth rehabilitation case presentations.

Founder and Creater of the Institution of Dental Advancement; Dr. Marcus Lastimado began his undergraduate studies at PLU in Tacoma, Washington. He was accepted early into the College of Dental Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He then received his Doctorates of Dental Medicine in 2007. Dr. Lastimado has also completed the two year Mastership Comprehensive Dentistry Program at the University of Florida CDP Class of 2014; subsequently recieving his Masters in the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Lastimado has had the honor and privilege of providing quality dental care to military service members, while being deployed in Iraq, for Operation Enduring Freedom. During his tour of duty Dr. Lastimado had the priviledge to work and train with specialists in the fields of Prosthodontics, Periodontics, and Endodontics. He is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Academy of General Dentistry, Texas Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Dallas Asian Dental Association, and the Fort Worth District Dental Society. Dr. Lastimado continues to advance his knowledge and training in all aspects of general dentistry through continuing education in the areas of cosmetic Smile Makeovers, prosthodontics, Invisalign, computer guided implant surgery, and CEREC same day dentistry.

Dr. Lastimado completed his 1-year Implant Preceptorship at the University of Texas San Antonio School of Dentistry, and earned his Fellowship status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. To ensure the best care for his patients, Dr. Lastimado has also completed advanced 3D guided implant surgical training at the Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at the Georgia Health Sciences University. In addition, Dr. Lastimado has undergone intensive live surgical implant training in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; later earning his Mastership in the ICOI. To advance his implant training Dr. Lastimado has also completed a All-On-4 (tm) specific clinical residency with world renowned educator and professor Dr. Paulo Malo, and the Malo Clinic Team, at the Malo Clinic in Lisbon, Portugal.

In addition to being in private practice and lecturing for multiple organizations; Dr. Lastimado holds the following appointments:
